US aviation watchdog Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has maintained a Category 1 status rating under its International Aviation Safety Assessment (IASA) programme. A Category 1 status permits airlines of a country to operate and expand their services to destinations in the USand codeshare with US air carriers.
